The City of Midway
Midway’s strategic location
along U. S. 64 and its proximity to three major urban centers is complemented by
its quality of place and environment. With approximately 1500 people within the
City limits, Midway is the second largest concentration of people and commercial
activity in the County. |
|
|
| Midway was founded in 1832 and
is Kentucky’s first railroad town. A still-active train tracks is both a
centerpiece and a divider of the tiny town's main shopping district. |

|
|
|
| The City of Midway has been an
integral part of the planning for the Commerce District and supports and
welcomes quality businesses into the community.
Surrounded by prosperous horse
farms and scenic rolling hills, and noted for its private higher educational
institution Midway College, Midway is clearly poised for continued economic
growth. |
